This is Chloe's first school experience without her big sister. It's actually the first time she gets something of her very own, without being in Emma's shadow. New friends, new school and a new teacher. Chloe is our independent girl with a heart of gold. She picked out her own outfit for today, and told me exactly how to style her hair. Walking into a room of unfamiliar faces made her a little nervous, but I know she will quickly make new friends!
I didn't cry today, although I did have a lump in my throat and my heart was beating out of my chest. There was a surprise waiting for her at school. . . DADDY!! He left early to take Emma to school and then head to work, but made a pitstop to see Chloe off on her first day. It melted my heart to see him there waiting for her as she proudly took his hand and showed him her classroom. These two have such a special bond.
Now it's just me and this little booger. . .
