While Daddy is Away. . .

. . . the girls will play!!!!

A normal week for us is full of playdates, preschool, being here and getting there, but this weekend I decided to treat the girls to 100% of my attention and let them call the shots.  I asked them where they wanted to go and what they wanted to do. And of course they choose the Spectrum.

We played in the fountains.

Emma and I ate Wahoo's, but Chloe decided to pack her own lunch (how cute is that!).

We even did some window shopping at Claire’s, the girls are actually starting to pick things up that they like and say “Mom, isn’t this cute!” Oh, I have taught them well!!

And this sweet baby, she just sat back and took in the day.

We ended our afternoon with a trip to Toys R Us, shopping for a birthday gift. I love how the girls excitedly run up and down the isles, looking at all the new toys on the shelves. Isn’t that every kids dream?!

We ended our day by going to a BBQ at one of the girls’ favorite places, the Macare’s House! They were happy to play with the ‘big’ girls and run up and down their stairs, while mommy got to actually interact in adult conversation. Not to mention eat a delicious dinner that I didn’t have to cook. Thanks KEVIN!!!!

The grand finale was a slumber party in mommy's bed!

Sometimes it’s nice to have no plans. Sometimes it’s nice to be with just my kiddos, with no distractions. Sometimes it’s nice just to soak in the day and appreciate every second that God has given us!!
