(Happy Birth-day)
I went into labor in the middle of the night and I remember bringing little Emma, who was only 12 months old, to the hospital with us. She slept soundly on the sofa in the dimmly lit hospital room.
(10 months old -- I miss those chubby legs!)
I distinctinly remember laying in the hospital bed, in the wee hours of the morning, looking at Hamid and Emma and thinking how on earth can I love another person as much as I love the two of them?
(1st Birthday)
Well, it wasn't a hard thing to do! As soon as I saw her precious little face and crazy head of hair I was smitten. She fit perfectly into our family. And once I held her in my arms, I couldn't imagine life without her!
(2nd Birthday)
Chloe is the perfect balance of being a 'tough kid' and a 'girly-girl'. There's no doubt that she's a fighter, with a hot temper, but every night after her bath she makes sure I comb her hair, "just right", then she picks out a bow to put in her hair and goes to bed. She's our "fancy" girl! She is cautious and kind, sensitive and funny, competitive and determined. She makes us laugh and always has a song to sing.

Chloe is our "bridge", she holds us together.
