Oh! The Places We'll Go

In case you haven't heard our family of 5 is moving here!!
Mild and sunny 12 months a year, there is no "off-season" in Santa Barbara.
Compliments of the dream job my hubby scored here. . .

Santa Barbara attire is casual. Most people wear comfortable sport clothing year-round during the day. At many Santa Barbara night spots dressier clothing is appropriate. A sweater or jacket is recommended for cooler winter evenings.
We'll definitely be taking the girls for a history lesson here. . .

The mission is named after Saint Barbara, a Christian martyr who was beheaded by her father for following her faith.

And spending mass amounts of time window shopping here. . .

State Street in Downtown Santa Barbara is one of the most popular places to shop, stroll and enjoy a meal in Santa Barbara. High scale malls such as Nordstrom and Saks can be found here. The street is filled with popular restaurants, shops and is a place where you can absorb the atmosphere of Santa Barbara. You can walk along and enjoy the different activities or you can take the Downtown-Waterfront Shuttles which takes you from State Street to the local wharf. While strolling through State Street, you will note that the courtyards around the malls are beautifully decorated with fountains, plants, and bronze statutes.

I can't wait to buy my fresh produce here. . .
Discover a variety of delectable items and much more when you visit the Farmers Market, happening every Tuesday AND Sunday.

And when my girlfriends come to visit we'll be headed here. . .
The unique nature of Santa Barbara County, with its multitudes of microclimates and soils, provides local winemakers with grapes of the highest quality and widest selection. Many specialize in a varietal – the famous Chardonnays, Pinot Noirs, Syrahs and Sauvignon Blancs of the County, as well as boutique lots of unique wines like AlbariƱo, Tocai Friulano, Mourvedre, Grenache Blanc, Nebbiolo and Dornfelder. And then there are the blends! If variety is the spice of life, then get ready to whet your palate!

And of course we'll be making quite a few trips here. . .
Don't get me wrong we will miss Orange County.  We have awesome, wonderful, supportive, amazing friends, loving family and precious memories in the OC.  And yes I am sad, my heart is heavy and there will definitely be tears to be shed.  Our friendships will withstand this move and I am POSITIVE we have new memories to be made together.   Our journey doesn't end here, it's just another chapter!

Luckily we won't be far, only 136 miles (about 2 hours 23 mins), and if driving isn't your thing you can always take the train. . .

Go Gauchos!
It sure is bitter sweet. Make sure you have enough room in the new place for the 4FLEMZ. I see many visits in the near future.
